"If you are wanting a new approach to not only parenting, but a better version of yourself, working with Erika is a must- truly incredible. I believe the only way, we as parents, can change the world is by changing how we parent. We can not expect our children to embody anything we haven’t managed to model ourselves on a day to day basis.
Raising a child is hard if you want to do it right, and what parent doesn’t. Erika helps you to think about things you may not have.
I'm grateful to Erika for sharing her knowledge of conscious parenting and being such a vital guide on how to be aware of the effects of our unconsciousness in regards to parenting. Every session has been filled with practical and insightful information. Not only will you be able to change the way you parent but, more importantly, how to change yourself.
Erika was the first to ever ask me to consider why I wanted a certain behavior in my children. After trying to be a more conscious parent for just a couple of weeks, I already noticed that some of the power struggles were almost completely gone. I realized that we are parenting from goals that are based on outside results rather than from a place of true connection. I want to have a lasting impact on how my kids take care of themselves, each other, their environment, how they show compassion, tolerate differences, handle their emotions, create, invent and be innovate. I believe the tools Erika gave me to work on myself will help me achieve all those goals.
She gives great examples and possible dialogues to use during tug of war times with your kids. She even gives personal experiences to show what works and what probably doesn’t.
I am also very grateful for the many e-mails including materials and links for my specific interests and needs.
It has been such a great experience working with Erika and I highly recommend it for anyone wanting to becoming a more conscious parent."

There is nothing more rewarding than feeling good about being a mother and she helps you try to find your best self. She was there for me when I needed her the most, I’m so grateful to have her in my life. Not only do I get a whole hour with her, she spends her own time e-mailing info and really considering anything helpful for my specific needs. What a truly amazing woman. I would recommend her expertise to anyone and everyone. In my journey to becoming a more conscious parent, I’m so grateful to have Erika there for me whenever I could use a professional voice and a friend."

"I began working with Erika because I was intrigued by Dr. Shefali's conscious approach to parenting. I was feeling challenged by my four year old, and I knew my current strategies to handle difficult situations were not serving either of us. I wanted to learn how to have a better relationship with my children, and in turn, myself. I also wanted to learn how to better nurture my kids so that as they grow older, they will be able to look within for guidance, rather than relying on external forces to dictate how they feel and what they need.
Erika was masterful in explaining and guiding me through the conscious parent model. She explained that the focus was on acknowledging my patterns and behaviors, rather than addressing my child's shortcomings. Erika encouraged me to look at my energy and expectations, and provided concrete examples about how to address difficult situations. In doing so, I learned that I had to monitor my behavior, and that at times, it was important for me to take a break from a conflict in order to think clearly. I also learned the difference between stone and sand boundaries--a distinction that was extremely useful in defining my expectations for myself and my children.
Erika is also very real. She shared strategies that have worked for her and her kids, and is always thinking of new ideas about how to stay ten steps ahead of children so that we don't put ourselves in compromising situations. While I am not perfect, Erika provided me with new skills to resolve conflicts that actually work, which is creating a deeper connection with my children. I also believe I am learning to honor and cultivate my children's unique gifts, even though it may not be easy in the moment. As my parenting journey continues, I am forever grateful that I am moving forward and evolving consciously while choosing behaviors that will honor and support my children."

"Erika is incredible! So real and so relatable. I was tired of being frustrated, drained and tired. Erika offered a new perspective and gave me usable and effective solutions. Conscious Parentlng was a whole new concept to me. So effective and self-reflective. Really made me look at myself and understand my triggers. Becoming a better parent will always be a never-ending process for me. But, now I have better tools to help. Thanks to Erika’s solutions and advice, we have a happier and calmer household overall and I don’t feel so constantly drained. Highly recommend Erika! She is compassionate, understanding, non-judgemental, listens attentively and does such an incredible job explaining things from a child’s perspective. I have so much respect and admiration for the work Erika has done on herself (you can read her blog). She is courageous and vulnerable."

She really helped center me as a mom, opened my mind to new ideas, and our chats were always in the back of my head to help me when I would feel overwhelmed.
